Our Rates & Charges

All our cars may vary from season to season on the charges made, our rates are determined by supply and demand and market conditions and reviewed frequently. Rates quoted are only guaranteed at the time that they are quoted

Vehicle hire works on a 24 hour basis for example if you hire a vehicle at 10:00 AM and return it at 10:00 AM the next day this would be considered a one day rental, extra charges will be applied if the vehicle is returned late dirty or damaged. 

All rates quoted include unlimited mileage

Barbados driving permits 

To drive in Barbados it is mandatory to have a valid Barbados driving permit these may be purchased from our representative on the day you collect the vehicle at the cost of $10 US each. The permits are valid for two months the visitor driving permit can now be obtained online directly also. 

Age and licence requirements

Drivers must be over 25 years of age and under 80 years of age, special conditions will apply outside of these age ranges. For those over 75 years of age a medical certificate is required to confirm fitness to drive. Each driver must have held a valid driving licence for at least two years-this licence must be produced at the time of delivery of the vehicle, this is necessary for repeat clients as well in all circumstances.  For those under 25 years of age and with less than two years driving experience we will have to impose special requirements from the insurance company and there will be additional costs.

Extension of hire

Clients may request an extension of hire but this should be made no later than 24 hours ahead of the return date and time, whilst we will do our best it cannot always be guaranteed that you will be able to have that vehicle longer than the agreed booking. Where possible an alternative vehicle could be made available to you if we have one available. It will be a requirement that a new agreement is produced, and a new quotation made for the additional hire period. 

Cancellation Policy

Clients are asked to inform us as soon as they know that they need to cancel a reservation. The reservation status will be changed to show no show if the client is not showing up for the car and has not notified us of any delays or issues:

· 1 weeks’ notice min is required to cancel a prebooked / pre-paid car hire booking, if the hire is cancelled in less time than this, no refunds will be provided unless we are able to rehire the vehicle. 

· Where more than a weeks’ notice is provided a full refund less $50 US will be made for admin costs

· No show within 12 hours of the agreed pick-up time (without any notification from the client) on a pre booked/ pre- paid vehicle – No refund is provided 

Fuel policy

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned to the full tank of fuel (full to full) if the car is returned without a full tank of fuel it will be fuelled using our charge of circa $30 U.S. dollars per quarter tank.  An admin charge of $20 US dollars is added if we have to refill the tank for you.

Additional Hire Items Child seats /Wi-Fi / Dongle / GPS ETC

Child booster seats are available for hire at $10 US per day

GPS units are also available for hire at $5 US per day

All items to be returned as hired and in full working order

Additional drivers

A second driver is possible, and they will also need a permit.  There is an extra driver’s fee off $5.00 USD per day for an additional driver to be added. 

Insurance

With our rate of higher the vehicle is comprehensively insured except for a deductible $1000 US to $1750 U.S dollar in case of loss, accident or damage to the vehicles regardless of fault.  An optional excess waiver is available and recommended to cover this deductible. If this excess waiver is purchased responsibility for the deductible is reduced to $250 US dollars or $0.00 depending on which excess waiver product is purchased. Upon return one of our agents who inspects the vehicle will determine if the vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was received, its advisable a video or photos be taken when you take out the vehicle and we will do the same and mark any known defects onto a diagram where applicable.

Insurance and collision damage waiver also known as access waiver collision damage waiver or CDW can be purchased separately as extra protection to limit your liability in case of collision damages to the vehicle to lower the amount of $250 U.S or  $0 U.S depending on the product purchased.  The daily rate is currently set at $12 U.S. dollars per day for this and will vary from time to time and may also vary by vehicle. 

Please note that when purchasing the CDW this excludes damages to the tyres and rims, hub covers not occasioned by a general collision damage to the vehicle and also excludes non collision damages such as permanent stains, tears or minor damages inside the vehicle burns to upholstery carpets ceiling broken handles switches water damage,  damage to keys or lost keys etc the higher liability for such other damages are assessed at the replacement of restoration costs the hirer must not under any circumstances smoke in the vehicle or attempt to make repairs themselves. 

Credit card coverage for collision damage waiver or CDW new paragraph Some credit card companies and Internet sites offer collision coverage benefits as in many types of coverage there are limitations an client should check carefully to verify coverage they have if the client has purchased excess waiver from another source and as an accident during the higher he must pay us for the damages incurred to a maximum of $1750 U.S.  We will then supply the documentation required to reclaim this payment from the company. Clients must have a valid credit card so they can authorise a security hold if deemed necessary.

The excess waiver is voided if the client has an accident where they are at fault and a fresh security deposit must be held again for the rest of the hire new paragraph in order to utilise the collision damage waiver insurance on your credit card first find out if your credit card offers it by contacting your financial institution or call customer support of visa MasterCard American Express and ask, usually they have special conditions to activate the credit card CDW insurance 1 is that the card is used to initiate and pay for the car rental and to the CDW insurance offered by the rental company is declined.

Additional charges for higher excess waiver, petrol, child seats, GPS units, are subject to 17.5% VAT government taxes shown herein are subject to change without notice new paragraph tier policy tyre damage is not covered by our access waiver. If a tyre or rim has been damaged beyond repair the client will be charged for the cost of replacement it is therefore imperative that clients check the tyres carefully when the vehicle is delivered new paragraph payment methods we accept payment via visa MasterCard American Express credit cards and PayPal advanced payment by bank transfer is also accepted please ask for bank details
